Cover Girls | House of Lies

One of our favorite shows is the Don Cheadle Showtime series, House of Lies. While it is wonderful to see Cheadle’s award-winning performances, weekly, the true highlight are the lovely ladies that populate the cast of this edgy drama.

The show, based on the book, House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Then Tell You the Time, follows a group of management consultants who stop at nothing to get business deals done, even if it calls for extremes.

The show focuses on a team of management consultants from Galweather & Stearn, the #2 ranked management consultancy in the U.S., who are based in Los Angeles but take on projects across the world. Their key competitor is Kinsley, the #1 ranked management consultancy. The team comprises Marty Kaan (Cheadle), the Senior Partner; Jeannie van der Hooven (Bell), the Engagement Manager; and Doug Guggenheim and Clyde Oberholdt, the Associates.

Over the course of the two season it’s been on the air, there have been some sexy and talented actresses that shared screen time with Cheadle. From series regulars, Bell and Dawn Olivieri, who plays Marty’s ex, Monica Talbot. Season One, Marty’s love interest was the beautiful Megalyn Echikunwoke, whose story arc, as April, was much too short.

In Season Two, the amazing Nia Long joined the cast as Tamara, a former acquaintance of Marty. The two rekindled their steamy hot love affair amidst the growing drama going on at work and in his tumultuous personal life.

I’m liking this show, but did Marty really not remember Jeannie saying I love you at the end of last season? Is that the reason he went to Tamara’s room?
