Actor/comedian Kevin Hart is hotter than fish grease. Currently starring in the hilarious Real Husbands of Hollywood, Hart’s upcoming stand-up comedy film, Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain will make its world premiere as the closing night film at the American Black Film Festival in Miami on June 22.
The film will be released by Lionsgate and Codeblack based on Hart’s comedy tour of the same name, on July 4.
Now in its 17th year, ABFF also announced that the winning film of its narrative competition will receive a theatrical release through AMC in up to 10 U.S. markets. The winner will be announced on closing night.
ABFF is partnering with AMC through their AMC Independent program, which highlights independent films and filmmakers.
“One thing I’m sure of is African-Americans want to see a broader range of black films in theaters,” said festival founder Jeff Friday. “There is a tremendous amount of goodwill associated with the ABFF brand and I’m encouraged that people will come out in support of our upcoming releases.”
ABFF will take place in Miami Beach from June 19-23. For more information, visit http://www.abff.com/festival/
