Oscar Nominations | FilmGordon Radio

25 01 2011

This afternoon on the BIG show, three critics Omar Moore (The Popcorn Reel), Cole Dabney (INsite Magazine), Joe Barber (WETA-TV) and myself examined, dissected and discussed the nominees for the 83rd Annual Academy Awards. We debated which films were contenders or pretenders to the Oscar throne!

Led by 12 nominations for The King’s Speech, this year’s nominees were largely consistent with choices made earlier by both national film critics associations and the Golden Globe award. The panel spoke about films they supported and performances or films they felt were unfairly snubbed.

The show ended with critics making their prediction about Oscar night; check it out!

“King’s Speech” is indeed very good, and the acting by Colin Firth phenomenal. But the film should not be taken as historically accurate: http://andreasmoser.wordpress.com/2011/01/17/the-kings-speech/
