Trailer Park | Terminator: Salvation

13 12 2008

Last summer, Christian Bale starred in the largest grossing film of the year in the sensational complex, “the Dark Knight.” Next summer, Bale will step into the large shows of John Conner and fight the cyborgs of the future in the sci-fi war film, “Terminator: Salvation.”

Set in 2018, the film focuses on the war between humanity and the machines employed by Skynet. Almost a franchise reboot, it abandons the formula of previous entries in the series, which involved the Terminator and various other characters time-traveling to the present to protect or kill John Connor.

Director McG has indicated that it will also be about the development of the Model 101 Terminator and will feature scenes involve humans being captured and studied by Skynet in order to perfect their cybernetic organisms. According to Bale the film will “begin again very much in the spirit of what Nolan did with “Batman,” in that it will not require audiences to have seen the previous films, and that it is “a bit of a sequel and a prequel because it tells the story of how we got there.

Co-starring Sam Worthington as the cyborg Marcus Wright, Bryce Dallas Howard as Kate Connor, John’s wife, and Anton Yelchin as Kyle Reese. Moon Bloodgood, Common, Helena Bonham Carter and Roland Kickinger, the film promises to be one of the highest grossing of the year!

“Terminator: Salvation” opens in theaters on May 22, 2009.
