DNC08 | Caroline and Senator Ted Kennedy’s Speech

2 09 2008

As the G.O.P. prepare to kick off their convention festivities, we take one look back at some of the great speeches from last week’s DNC08. First up, Senator Ted Kennedy and the introduction by his niece, Caroline Kennedy.

In one of the evening’s most touching moments, the “Liberal Lion of the Democratic Party,” Senator Kennedy showed up at the Democratic National Convention to support the candidacy of President, Senator Barack Obama.

With his first public appearance since being diagnosed with a brain tumor, Kennedy’s courage and determination were on full display and his speech was the foundation for one of the best conventions that the Dems have ever had.
