Trailer Park | How to Lose Friends . . .

11 08 2008

British funnyman Simon Pegg is back in a hilarious film “based on the true story of an idiot” in the upcoming fall comedy, “How to Lose Friends and Alienate People.”

In this hilariously funny fish-out-of-water tale, “How to Lose Friends & Alienate People” tracks the outrageous escapades of Sidney Young (Pegg), a smalltime, bumbling, British celebrity journalist who is hired by an upscale magazine in New York City.

In spectacular fashion Sidney enters high society and burns bridges with bosses, peers and superstars. Based on Toby Young’s memoir of the same name, the film also stars Kirsten Dunst, Danny Huston, Gillian Anderson, Megan Fox, Max Minghella and Jeff Bridges.

After hilarious turns in films such as “Shaun of the Dead,” “Hot Fuzz” and “Run Fatboy Run,” Pegg is damn-near typecast as a loveable loser – we dig that about him!

“How to Lose Friend and Alienate People” opens in theaters on October 3.
