Uh-oh, another rapper has gotten the fever. Common, one of the most respected artists on the hip hop scene pops up on the big screen again this weekend in “Street Kings,” a crime thriller about corruption in the LAPD.
The Chicago native who also appeared in “Smokin’ Aces” and “American Gangster” plays an undercover cop in the wrong place at the wrong time. The film also stars Keanu Reeves, Forest Whitaker and The Game. The Grammy-winning rapper talked about his burgeoning acting career, music and hip hop versus America.
