With Hollywood “short” on ideas for new films, it is a shame that they couldn’t create martial art films an amazing twist – using a a**-kicking little man!
Filipino actor and martial artist, Weng Weng, held the record as the shortest actor in film history. Standing (no pun intended) only 2 foot 9 inches, Weng rose to prominence playing Secret Agent 00 in “For Y’ur Height Only.” Other notable films for Weng were “The Impossible Kid” and “D’Wild Wild Weng.”
Notable for being a ladies man and his trademark “bowl” cut hair style, Weng had an active film career in the 1970s and the 1980s, but had not had a major acting role for several years. He died of a heart attack in 1992 at the age of 34.
But thanks to The Chuds and John R of R Room, who created the “Weng Weng Rap, the exploits of this tiny action star live on – with a funky beat, no less!
