For close to 20 years, I have been a HUGE fan of O’Shea Jackson a.k.a. Ice Cube. The lyrical architect of the world’s most dangerous rap group, N.W.A., Cube has transitioned into a movie star with credits in films such as “Boyz ‘N the Hood,” “Friday” and “Barbershop.”
Much like LL Cool J, Cube has been able to maintain his credibility as a legitimate artist while enjoying a successful Hollywood career. His latest single is the incendiary, “Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It” that features notable images from the past 25 years.
This song and its video finds the n**** you love to hate back in his usual fiery form.
His latest film, “First Sunday” drops next week.
