With the beginning of the New Year, gone are the few quality movies that were available over the holidays in theaters. 2008 promises to be a suspect year for film that may really be in trouble in the third quarter if the writer’s strike isn’t resolved.
Kicking off Hollywood’s weakest film season (Winter/Spring) is the horror film, “One Missed Call.” In this scary movie, people received voicemail messages with a recording of their voice in distress and once they hear the message, shortly thereafter they die. The only thing that makes this film barely watchable is the presence of the very attractive Shannyn Sossamon
I shared my distaste for horror films and I’m sure this film will not change my mind or position.
Trailer grade: D
Here’s a shot of Ms. Sossamon
