Several days before the untimely death of her brother Michael, Janet Jackson agreed to reprise her role in Tyler Perry’s comedy sequel, “Why Did I Get Married Too.”
According to Variety, Jackson will again portray a successful author and psychologist who prefers to analyze others relationship problems rather than deal with her own marriage.
She is the first announced casting for the Lionsgate project other than Perry.
The follow-up is set for a release on April 2, 2010. The first film, based on Perry’s stage play, grossed $55 million domestically.
Perry’s next film, “I Can Do Bad By Myself” starring Taraji P. Henson hits theaters on September 11.
