Throughout the course of his long, illustrious career, Laurence Fishburne has played a variety of different characters but the Oscar-nominated actor can now add a new title to his expanding resume – Doctor!
The “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” star joined the 2009 graduating class of Howard University to receive an honorary doctorate for his acting achievements. Of course, Fishburne was filled with pride regarding his latest honor.
“I became a doctor. I received an honorary doctorate from Howard University last weekend in the humanities for my work as an artist and my contribution to society, which is pretty long, almost 40 years now. And now I’m Dr. Fishburne.”
That’s terrific news! Now I’m hoping for a film of him and his life. I love that guy!
