The continuing fascination with our rock-star Chief Executive, President Barack Obama is that publications simply can’t get enough of him. Several weeks ago, Obama graced the cover of Marvel Comics, this week he gets face time on the cover of Mad Magazine.
The comic institution is giving Obama it’s highest honor by spoofing Chicago’s Finest. Playing off the theme of his ‘first 100 days,’ the magazine’s cover features a stressed-out Obama puffing away on cigarettes as he scans dire newspaper headlines during his “first 100 minutes.”
This is not the first time Obama has graced the satirical magazine’s cover, which announced last week that it will now be published quarterly instead of monthly. He also appeared on the September 2008 cover with the headline “Yes We Can’t.” Earlier, Obama also appeared as the 46-year old Political Virgin!
It is clear that early on that comedians don’t know how to make fun of a President that gives the public very little fodder for light entertainment. The next eight four years should be pretty interesting!
Barack Obama is the best President that the US will ever have. He is smart, intelligent, a scholar, a diplomat, an intellectual, and he will solve our nation’s economic crisis, and he will bring our troops home safely in 16 months. Yes?
He will meet China’s Emperor and 2009 President-to-be without pre-conditions and we will all have peace and be happy!
